Frequently Asked Questions

  • What if I've never done yoga?

That's ok! Almost all of our classes are beginner-friendly and considered all-levels. It's a good idea to start with something slower paced to get your groove first - we recommend a class with the intensity level 3 or below. We are always happy to chat ahead of your first visit to help prepare you and determine which class will be a good fit. Zoom consult calls are always available - just 15 min or less to get to know each other and see if our studio will be a good fit for your goals. Email info@dmwellnessyoga.com to schedule!

  • What do I need to bring to class?

Many of our students choose to bring their own yoga mat and a water bottle to class. All props and materials are available at the studio, including mats, so you are not required to bring anything. Cubby spaces are provided upon entry for you to place your shoes and other personal belongings during class.

  • Where do I park at the studio?

The DM Wellness & Yoga studio faces 42nd St (just south of Friedrich’s Coffee). There is ample parking available in the lot to the north, which is the main Uptown Shopping Center (& Hy-Vee) parking lot. There is also a small lot just south of the building where you can park, but there are only a few non-handicap spots.

  • How do I choose the right class for me?

Be sure to read the class descriptions! Each description will tell you what the class is like, some information about the “feel” of class, the physical intensity level, and some info on the teacher. If you want help deciding what would be a good fit, feel free to reach out! We love to connect and chat about what will serve you.

  • How do I book a class? What is Momence?

You can book class on our website at www.dmwellnessyoga.com/schedule or via the Momence app on your smartphone. Momence is our booking platform which allows you to track your registrations and payments. If using the app, simply search for ‘DM Wellness & Yoga’ in the search bar the first time you open the app (if you’ve already made a purchase, you’ll automatically be linked to our studio). Once on our page, create your login and start booking!

  • How much does it cost to attend to attend a class??

A single drop-in class is $20. You can also purchase a class pack or membership to save on your per-visit rate. View all the options on our Pricing Page here.

  • Can I share my package or membership?

Yes! Packages and limited-use memberships can be shared. This typically happens with family members/spouses, but any two people with an account in Momence can be linked. Email Dara at info@dmwellnessyoga.com to request sharing. Please note: this is not the same as using a Guest Pass to bring a friend to class one time - sharing means the other person has full access to the package/membership.

  • How are memberships billed?

All memberships are auto-renew and billed on a monthly basis (the same day each month based on when you signed up). For limited-use memberships, class credits are deposited weekly into your account and unused credits will roll forward beyond that week to use for an additional 21 days, allowing for plenty of schedule flexibility! There is no long-term commitment, we just request 14-days notice before your next billing cycle if you are choosing to cancel.

  • What's the class cancellation policy?

You can cancel your class booking up to 6 hours prior to class and receive the class credit refunded back on your account automatically. Anything within 6 hours of class is considered a late cancel and a refund will not be issued. Unlimited Members who late cancel will be charged a $4 penalty fee. If you fail to come to class and have not cancelled your registration, a $5 no-show fee will be charged to your account. We are a small studio with limited space, so we rely on you to cancel if you can't make it. *Note: this policy applies to regular classes only, not workshops/events or 1:1 sessions.
